The process for staffing a birthright trip is archaic. Staff go to an orientation, get a HUGE binder full of information on safety, participant programs, Israel topics, things to do and not do and other information. At orientation some people take a lot of notes and others just hope the trip isn’t very hard and go along for the ride. The crazy part about this is that on the trip, that binder is all they have to lead an effective trip. They are required to carry the binder around all the time which has important details about the trip, about participants, organizational contacts and the itinerary.
After leading multiple birthright trips, we knew there had to be a better way to organize and run a trip. The Staff Assist is the answer.
